AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR

Ciejay and me woke up this morning to a loud bang on our bedrom window , when we opened the front door to see what made the noise we saw this beautiful bird , just laying on his side like he was dead , I picked it up and felt a movement so I thought it's still alive, well with a little CPR and a good massage , within 2 or 3 min he was back on his feet , I rubbed his head and back for a min while he sat perched on my finger and then he just fly off into the wild blue yonder, I think he or she's ok and will live to see another day and hopefully not another window . LIFE AIN'T EASY FOR A FARM GIRL

I found this picture of the Jupia's working in the rice field near their house and thought I should post it,thats Ciejay in the back . Life was hard on the farm , but I think working together as a family to raise their food and ,also crops to sell , is the thing that makes them such a close family even to this day . Malcolm

FROM THE TEMPLE TO THE HOUSE GARDEN

Years ago this beautiful and most flagrant flower was only planted in temple gardens and around the crematories ,and was regarded as a sad sad flower and was called LUN TOM a sad name , but in later years the name was changed to LE LE WUA DEE a happy name and now can be found in most gardens and yards , we have several and do they ever smell good.

SQUID BOATS ARE A COMING THEY'RE COMING TONIGHT

Of course ,in the original song from my childhood it was "Shrimp Boats Are A Coming". This is one of my all time favorite pictures I have taken , it has not been enhanced in any way and the colors are just as you could see with your own eyes that night, It was taken at about 8'o clock in the evening on a beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan. There were squid boats all over , but this one caught my eye . Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoy looking at it in a 11x14 framed photo on the wall in our home. Malcolm

OUR BACKYARD VISITORS

BACK YARD FRIENDS

I did a past post about vistors to our back yard , but had so many more pictures , have decided to feature them here on our photos page , hope you like them ,every day it seems like we get a new bird we have not seen before , lots of vistors come back every morning and afternoon and all I have to do is to turn on the water and start to fill their bird bath ,and they will come and sit in the near-by trees and wait for me to finish, they are a joy to watch , each different type of bird will come and take turns about ,drinking and taking a bath , with sometimes the bigger ones being bullies and not waiting their turn. We have a tree stump near the bath and we put fruit on it for them to eat, and in the evening the squirrels will come and chase the birds away so they can have their share , we don't mind , as it just adds to our backyard visitors, and a joy to watch ,while having our afternoon coffee.I have a couple of friends who have cats (which means no birds ) and they come over every once in a while just to sit , have coffee and enjoy the backyard visitors with us .Hope you have lots of visitors to your backyards too.
